Mobile Devices

Smartphones and tablets using iOS, Android and Windows operating systems will work on the BYOD-Wifi network.

Remember: The use of these devices, or any personal device, in the classroom is strictly at the discretion of the teacher.

Which device is best?

The device that is best for you depends on your classes and your projects.

Mobile devices are convenient because they are small, light, and have access to many of the apps you may need for class. They are great for classroom activities, on-the-go research, organization and collaboration. However, they are not ideal for creating new products.

Chromebooks, laptops and netbooks are heavier, but they are more convenient for productivity and creation of documents, movies, or other digital media.

In the end, device choice is a personal preference.
