Thank you to the Portsmouth Town Council for their unanimous approval of our PSD FY24 budget request. This preliminary approval will allow us to move forward with our planning for next school year while we await final approval of the Town Budget in June. Last night’s Council approval was the culmination of much hard work and collaboration. Thank you to all who contributed and supported us in these efforts!
On April 17, 2023, the PSD School Committee hosted a State Funding Formula workshop with state and local officials to brainstorm ways for Portsmouth to better position itself for future budget cycles. The Rhode Island Department of Education, is focusing on expanding Food Access among children and youth through the Summer Meals program. This program is a FREE resource for our families, and it is available across the State of Rhode Island in more than 200 meal sites of distribution during the summer months.
